With privacy maintained by your own PVY@Cloud Private Cloud environment, you can discover a new way to automate tasks—whether between your apps or with other apps on the internet.
Based on open source technology, you can automate interactions between 350,000 applications and services and access over 1 million referenced APIs worldwide.
The following PVYapplications are built-in options that you can choose as triggers, targets, or destinations with PVYautomat:
Additionally, you can integrate with other applications via APIs and webhooks, such as PVYserviceDesk, PVYbusiness-Suite…
As a hotel owner, you want to ensure that your pricing is competitive on popular booking sites like Bookings.com. This helps you attract more guests to your hotel.
This workflow uses a ‘Schedule Trigger’ set for 6 AM, 1 PM, and 4:30 PM daily and performs what is commonly known as price or website scraping.
Triggered by the scheduler, the browserless node visits the Bookings.com website for the city of Tbilisi in Georgia using a predefined search query. It gathers prices within a specified range for nearby hotels, converts this information into an .xlsx spreadsheet, and then sends the file to a selected channel on PVYmessenger. Hotel staff can review the prices and manually adjust their own Bookings.com hotel listing as needed.
This ensures that hotel staff can always stay competitive in their local area. With just a bit of additional effort—around 20 minutes—we can add two more nodes:
The API node connects to the Bookings.com API service, logs in as the hotel owner, and automatically updates the hotel’s price. It adjusts the price to be at least 5% lower than competitors, ensuring it meets a minimum threshold value.
There are no limits to this functionality, but you will need coding skills and potentially the assistance of an external web developer or internal IT specialist to fully leverage it.
Grab a beer or two; it’s quite comprehensive.
